The Murs Dakota Alert System MURSIRHTKIT with a handheld receiver offers the utmost in driveway monitoring.....a long range system with a portable receiver!

Using passive infrared sensing technology, the MURS MAT transmitter will detect people as well as vehicles, and will send a signal back to the portable receiver. You will be alerted with a voice message. The portable receiver gives you the ability to be notified of visitors even if you are in a remote area of your property. The MURS transmitter is capable of sending a signal for miles in a open field. As an added bonus, the M538-HT handheld receiver and the M538-BS base station receiver can also be used for two way voice communications.

The MURS Alert™ transmitter is capable of sending 4 different alert messages to the transceiver. The alert signals are in spoken English and are easily selected at the transmitter so that separate zones can be monitored at the same time.

With the long range ability and the portable receiver, the MURS Alert has unlimited applications; it can be used by security guards, small businesses and also by hunters monitoring game trails; any scenario that requires immediate notification when someone or something enters a monitored location.

Authorized by the FCC, MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) is a license free service that allows the user to transmit voice and data. MURS also allows a maximum of 2 watts of output power. This means greater range than other license free radio services.

MURS Alert™ will give you real time monitoring of remote locations up to several miles away.

The applications for the MURS Alert Driveway Announcing System are endless, given the long range capability. It is ideal for use by security guards, small businesses and also by hunters monitoring game trails; any scenario that requires immediate notification when someone or something enters a monitored location.

More about the MURS technology.....

MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) was authorized by the FCC in November of 2000 as a private, two-way voice or data communications service for personal or business activities. The five MURS channels are available on a shared basis only. No channels are assigned on an exclusive basis, therefore it is up to the users to cooperate in the channel selection to help avoid interference. FCC rules do allow for the use of external antennas with MURS.
Range
You will notice that we describe the range of the MURS systems as several miles. While this might sound a little vague, we are not trying to deceive. The range will be dependent on your local surroundings. We have tested units here in South Dakota over flat ground to ranges of about 4 miles. However, if you are in an urban area with many tall buildings, your range may be cut down significantly.
Who can use MURS?
No license is needed. A person is authorized by rule to operate a MURS radio providing he or she is not a representative of a foreign government. Also, MURS can be used anywhere in the US except aboard an aircraft in flight.
