Murs Alert Infrared Sensor and Base Station
The MURS Dakota Alert Driveway Announcing systems are the longest range wireless systems available and have the added bonus of two-way communication capability!
The MURS Alert Transmitter uses passive infrared detection technology and sends a signal back to the Base Station when a vehicle or person is detected. You will receive a voice message alert, notifying you of visitors in your monitored area. In an open field the MURS Alert Transmitter is capable of sending a signal several miles away*.
The MURS Alert transmitter is also capable of sending 4 different alert messages to the transceiver, giving you the ability to monitor separate zones. A portable, handheld receiver is also available to notify you if you are in a remote location on your property. Again, two-way communication is possible between the handheld receiver and the base station!
*You will notice that we describe the range of the MURS systems as several miles. While this might sound a little vague, we are not trying to deceive. The range will be dependent on your local surroundings. We have tested units in South Dakota over flat ground to ranges of about 4 miles. However, if you are in an urban area with many tall buildings, your range may be cut down significantly.
