I had a proximity type before that and it did not work well at all (and it was always ringing when the deer were about). But this hose type is perfect. Just wanted to let you know that I have thoroughly appreciated the property paging system I ordered from you in October. It has worked flawlessly. I am hard of hearing and never knew when someone was coming in until they were right on me or at my door. Now with the vibrating pager I never get surprised. I really love it!! My mom is hard of hearing as well so I have just ordered her one for Christmas. When she drives in to visit she has to search for me for five to ten minutes (I work outside on about 20 acres) or eventually call me up on my cell phone to find me. Now I am approaching her as soon as she drives in. She's been really impressed with it. I can't wait for her to open her Christmas present. No doubt it'll be one of the best presents I've ever gotten for her.

Just wanted to say how please we are with this driveway alarm. We have had it for over a year now and it has worked extremely well, no matter what the weather; from extreme heat in summer to extreme cold in winter. ( Occasionally in high winds with things blowing around, it will set off a false alarm..totally understandable) Since we don't have any windows at the driveway side of the house, this alarm is perfect for alerting us to visitors. They are often surprised to find us waiting for them at the front door. :-)

The Dakota Wireless Probe Alert WPA3000 I ordered, arrived yesterday morning, just as you said when I ordered. Thank you for the excellent, quick service.
I installed the unit shortly thereafter and it works just great! Seriously, I had purchased a relatively inexpensive IR device previously which never did work. This system worked the first time I tested it. Just as advertised.
I live on a Farm in the country and recently blacktopped my driveway which had previously been gravel for 35 years. Since paving the driveway, neither my wife nor I would hear vehicles coming down the lane and were often surprised by folks at our door. The alarm I purchased from you works flawlessly and we are both very happy with this alarm system. It may sound silly, but I am ecstatic about how well the system works and the adjustments (tones and sound level) that are available.

Hello,
I received both the Dakota 3000 driveway probe system and the motion
detector attachment and I am so happy to say just how easy they are to
install and how good they both work. Already today, we were alerted to a
motor scooter coming into the driveway and the UPS delivery truck. Since we
can't see our driveway from our living space, the driveway monitor is a life
savor and lets us know when someone is coming to the house.

Well, I received your Wireless 1000 Entry Alert System yesterday, and I installed it in my garage last night.
The system works great. I have it monitoring a vertical fan shaped "curtain" that covers my entire garage door opening. No matter what I did there was no sneaking past the alarm, but because the "beam" is very tight you can walk right up to the garage door opening from either inside or outside, and it doesn't false alarm. Excellent!

My husband has Alzheimer's disease, with the accompanying wandering urges, although he is too weak physically to get very far and falls a great deal. We have installed the Optex on the inside of his bedroom door so that every time he gets out of bed, we are alerted and can head him off. I believe that this has quite literally saved his life on several occasions. I have heard tales of other families who have installed elaborate burglar systems on every window and door at a cost of thousands........ I did a lot of research before purchasing, and there is nothing else like it on the market that I could find...the beauty of it is that the alarms sounds with me, and doesn't disturb him or frighten him with a loud shriek, although he does think that I am a witch for always knowing when he's on the move!!

An amusing story of how a Driveway Sensor can save some embarrassment!!
We're not overly worried about security but sometimes yes, we do get taken by surprise* and even though I work from home in I.T. now that SusieDog (our previous alarm) has died we've been looking for your kind of products.
Didn't find anything so were really delighted to see your ad in Harrowsmith Country Life mag.
* The worst 'surprise' came a couple of years ago. I had a day's vacation - one of those take it or lose it type things. So after Alan left for work I slapped hair dye on, covered my face with a bright aqua coloured face mask and stark naked except for a pair of socks I clambered into the stair stepper to watch something mindless on TV while the hair and face pack worked. Bear in mind that I am short and no longer in the first flush of youth (to put it mildly) and somewhat rounded. All of a sudden SusieDog starts barking wildly which means there was someone all the way up the drive and approaching the house. The stair stepper is on the gallery and anyone coming to the front door and looking in would be able to see me. I flung myself to the floor and scrambled on my hands and knees into the bathroom so if they looked at the moment they see a blue faced, goop haired, fat bottomed naked woman on all fours. Didn't have time to wash off the hair stuff so I ruined a good towel by putting that over my head and tried to scrape off most of the blue goop which was sticking like sh*t to a blanket of course. Threw on a robe and got downstairs to the door. Only to see the electricity meter reader driving back down the drive. He hadn't come to the door at all. Just as well, one glance through might possible have turned the poor guy to stone or at the very least blinded him.
Which is why we need one of your gizmos. :o)
