Dakota Alert M538-BS MURS Two-Way Base Station

MURS base station transceiver that can receive an alert signal from the MURS Alert transmitter as well as two-way communications from other transceivers. Has a normally open (N/ O) relay contact that will close while an alert signal is being received.

The M538-BS will operate as a transceiver, meaning it will both transmit and receive messages from other MURS radio units. The M538-BS is equipped to operate on 5 channels, with 38 sub channels. In order to communicate with another MURS radio, the channel and the sub channel must be set alike. The M538-BS also has 4 separete call tones that can be used to page other users before starting a conversation. The M538-BS can also receive an alert signal from the MURS alert transmitter. This will notify you of activity at the location of the MURS transmitter.

Dakota Alert M538-HT Hand-Held MURS Transceiver

The Dakota Alert M538-HT is a hand-held MURS transceiver that will receive alert signals from the MURS Alert transmitter and also can be used for two-way voice communications between other MURS transceivers.

The HT is capable of communicating over distances of several miles and has five channels and 38 sub channels to help you communicate with other users. The M538-HT is powered by six re-chargeable batteries (included) that will last for about 40 hours per charge.

When an alert signal is received from the MURS Alert transmitter, the HT will sound off with the voice alert signal, and will display an alert icon as a visual cue that an alert signal has been received.

This has many different applications for small businesses, farmers, security guards or outdoorsmen. Anyone who needs to have real time monitoring and two-way voice communication will benefit from MURS.
